Culture of Contradictions

I am not sure if it was always the case, and I don’t really care to look any deeper into it. However, I just noticed recently that most of us live by one of two mottos or proverbs or sayings:

1-      Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

2-      Give your all or something along those lines.

I am pretty sure we all heard the two or different versions of them through the years, and some of us heard both.

We are also told:

1-      A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

2-      Don’t settle for less than what you want.

There is a saying, a proverb, a quote, a verse, or a divine revelation that fits almost every situation in life. It is one of those acceptable facts in life. There was always someone who was either bestowing their wisdom on the rest, or there was someone who recorded it and transmitted to us in a way or another.

Nevertheless, my issue is the amount of contradictions in most of the things we believe in. these contradictions can often cause much deeper psychological damage.

Most humans don’t support war and will rally against it; however, we pay the taxes that support these wars.
